Baileys Cocktails
Main Post:
I feel like Baileys is a quite uncommon ingredient in cocktails nowadays (excluding blow jobs, orgasms, slippery nipples - that is what comes up if you google Bailey's cocktails).
In fact, even the baileys website has comparatively little to offer in decent sounding drinks (in my opinion). I was wondering whether anyone had any decent cocktails utilising Baileys? I was thinking it could go quite well with an amaro of some sort?
Just wanted to ask to provoke discussion and see whether anyone had any ideas they'd like to share!

It does seem like one of those things that is usually better off consumed on its own because of how sweet and decadent it already is. Probably quite overpowering in a cocktail too.
There are probably a few dessert/hot chocolatey/milkshakey things that could be done with it though.
Makes for a good white* russian as a replacement for the milk.
Is there any drink made with just Kahlua and Baileys Irish Cream, with no other liquor?

I'd love something simple with VERY FEW ingredients. I'd need exact recipe please as I am clueless when it comes to making drinks. Thanks

Baby Guinness. Pour kahlua. Pour baileys over a t-spoon so it settles on the top. Drink. Repeat.

Baileys is more a drink than an alcool. Drink it cold and straight. Even with ice.
Bailey's Original Irish cream - what to mix it with?
Main Post:
Can I drink it as-is or do I have to mix it with something else? Can I mix it with iced coffee, will that taste good?

Opinions on Bailey's?

What do you guys think of it? I really enjoy the taste of it.

I love it in coffee or on ice cream but I haven't drank Bailey's straight in years.
Baileys?

I’m grabbing baileys tomorrow for me and my boyfriend to drink! its the 700ml one and we are both pretty light weights. Would it be enough to make us drunk?

At 17-percent abv, four ounces of Bailey's would be roughly the equivalent of a can of beer. There are six four-ounce servings in 750ml. So a bottle of Bailey's has about as much alcohol as a six-pack of beer.
TIL that you should DEFINITELY avoid Bailey's Irish Cream if you're looking to get buzzed without putting on extra weight.

No shit, it's cream liqueur...
A good, easy drink to make with Baileys Irish Creme?
Main Post:
I have Baileys Irish Creme and vodka. Any good drinks to be made? I don't like coffee, but I do like Baileys (I guess I'm weird like that). So, do you know of any good drinks to make without coffee? For alcohol all I have is vodka and Baileys.

Baileys on the rocks is great. Otherwise, if you can get some Kahlúa, add a touch a milk with equal parts Kahlúa, Baileys, and vodka for a fake but stronger White Russian. Instead of half and half, the creaminess of the Baileys allows for skim through whole milk, and replaces some dairy with more alcohol.

It has alcohol in it. Evidently, enough alcohol to prevent spoilage.
The company says it should be good for 2 years so, unlike straight spirits, it's not good indefinitely.

It's like Bailey's, but with real dairy!
Pro Tip: Do this exact same things with RUM.
I almost had a Bailey's Irish Cream. Almost.

On the flight home they made us change planes, which wasn't planned. They said "we apologize for any inconvenience" so I jokingly complained "oh my gosh I'm so inconvenienced its the worst thing ever" and the stewardess had a big smile on her face, apologized and handed me a coupon for a free $5 alcoholic drink! My sister (against alcohol) asked what it was, I told her and she was like "electriccars. Don't do it!" And I smiled that "I think I might" smile. She got angry and said "don't ruin this evening! We've had a great day and you can keep it good or ruin it!" I said "I'm not the one who'll be ruining it if I do" and I walked away.
Both her and my Mom were then "nice" but that "you better not!" Type of nice.
On the plane they sat directly in the isle in front of me, I was planning on talking to the stewardesses in the back so they wouldn't know. When she came over to take my order (after coming down the plane taking others) I said I'll wait, and she got this confused look on her face and she was like "you don't want anything?" And she had that "really?" Look on her face. I motioned toward the back and said I'll wait again. She said "what, you're going to come to the back and order something?" Sigh. Lol. So she went on taking orders.
I had decided to go back and explain a little about having never actually had a drink so I didn't know which was best but I was really interested in trying the Irish cream. The turbulence was making the plane rough the whole time so the seatbelt light NEVER TURNED OFF. Thus I was prevented from going into the back and talking to them. And I was prevented from indulging, for free, on a relaxing airplane ride home.
Great.

I know this is a funny story, but TBMs views on alcohol are so sad!
Think about this: 2 adults, probably reasonably intelligent, socially-able women, honestly think that if another intelligent, reasonable adult male (OP), with no history of substance abuse, has a small drink on a plane, their entire great day will be ruined.
That blows my mind; they think he'll turn into a staggering drunk, throwing up and have to be cared for an carried out the plane. I've seen TBMs discuss having "a beer" and assuming it automatically makes you completely inebriated.
That mindset is terrifying to me. How do you live with so much fear and uncertainty?!
